This English edition is being published 10 years after the original release L'Ecole de Canterbury by Aymeric Leroy.

Aymeric has added two new chapters and rewritten and expanded certain sections, particularly those covering the Soft Machine’s 1966–68 period. He has also replaced many of the photos.
